I use this product on my computer. DVI is connected to the computer and HDMI to the TV. There is sound, a lot of conflicting reviews, but yes, it transmits sound. Make sure you play the sound in the right place in the sound settings. It works fine with the setup I have, 2 monitors with HDMI and a TV with DVI to HDMI.
