I was able to program the remote without any problems. However

I had the original key and following the instructions I was able to program the remote easily. However, I can't get the keys to work. I have tried phoning the hotline with no success so I cannot fully recommend this product. Although the price is really good.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Works great, saves money

Cut them out at a local hardware store. Insert the factory key, start and stop, then immediately insert the new key. After that you will have a working key. On my 2008 Chevy Truck 2500, I simply activate the program function and install the key fob. Light. I can't tell any difference in the range between the old and new handheld transmitters.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Upgradable

Very inexpensive 2 sets

The sets are good for the price but I've noticed a few issues with these keys. The keys snap together so be careful as they can open and you could lose the transponder part needed to start your car. But if you are ok with your keys and careful then I would definitely recommend this product.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Outdated

Great product, great price

Great product and great price. Locksmiths and dealers do their best to sell fobs and keys, trying to play with the fact that programming them is very difficult and therefore worth the price. Do not believe me. I used these with my Silverado. There are programming guides online, and if I said each keychain took 5 minutes, I'd probably be overestimating it. It was super easy and super fast.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Easy do-it-yourself replacement!

Remotes are easy to program and cheaper than OEM parts. If you've never programmed before, you'll have to wait for an email after it arrives. $3.00 per key and follow up You Tube program, 15 seconds and you're done. I will buy them again after programming them myself. Convenient and cheaper than through a dealer!

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Not bad

Do your research, find the right keys and fobs for your car

UPDATE 9/2019: I've had them for 2 years with no problems! I strongly recommend them. Bought it last year and had no problems. Got the keys from my dealer and they fit perfectly. Key fobs are extremely easy to program just by reading the instructions that come with them. Do your research to ensure these are the keys and chipped keys you need. They were for my 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab with remote start.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Good price! - Interior

We bought a new (for us) 2010 Chevy Avalanche and it didn't have keyless locks. I was happy to find them at this price as I thought they were way more expensive than this one. My husband had no problem programming them or cutting keys. I'm sure if we had bought them through a dealer there would have been many more of them. I bought this product at regular retail price and am reviewing it to share my experience with others who are considering buying this product. I have not received any…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not as fat as other picks

They MAY work IF your vehicle has already been programmed for.

This MAY work IF your car was already dealer programmed with genuine GM key fobs for auto start. Even though my 2008 gmc seira has an AP8 code in the glove box and the dealer says it is "auto start ready" according to the VIN, they said I need to buy kit #17801236 for $275. I was able to program the keyless entry feature myself but there was no automatic start, the dealer couldn't/won't so I bought these for starters so be aware! ps called the seller on the hotline, no answer?

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Safety
