Fairly easy to use and program. I had a little problem turning on the TV, I couldn't find the code for my TV. So I had to try several codes until I found the right one. But now it works fine.

I purchased this remote based on the description it was version 20.0. Even the outer packaging says it's version 20.0. However, the remote control is actually version 20.1. In addition, this remote control does not control the satellite receiver. It only controls the TV (or other accessories). This is not the same as the one originally marketed by Dish Network. I will return it to Revane.

This remote control is just amazing! I'm assuming it's from the Dish Network since the Dish Network brochure and instructions are included. It was up and running in less than five minutes! It was loaded with batteries and all I had to do was turn on the satellite and it connected. I then uploaded a 3 digit code for my TV's power and volume and it worked like clockwork! The remote came with 2 instructions. The instructions for pairing with the receiver did not work at all. The setup guide to control my TV didn't fit (except for the on/off button). Finally, I pressed the SAT button to program, entered my TV's code, then pressed # and everything worked perfectly! My old remote kept getting worse and I had to press the button multiple times before it worked again. This works with a light push of a button. Very beautiful!

My original remote had some buttons that no longer worked properly. This remote fixed it for me. When I first got it I programmed it into a Samsung TV and everything worked fine. Then I noticed that to increase or decrease the volume by more than one notch at a time, I had to press the volume button multiple times. This was an exact replacement for a control that no longer worked. No setup issues. Works just like the original. I assume this will take several years. When ordering, make sure you are ordering a controller with a part number that matches yours. They are numbered either 1 or 2. Different controllers work with different signals. Some remote control functions/buttons worked with TV/Dishnetwork out of the box, others didn't work until I programmed them correctly. While this replacement does not exactly match the product specification, it works great. Getting the basic functions of my Magnavox TV working is no problem, but it takes a few minutes for ALL the functions to work properly.
