Doesn't support 4k60hz and doesn't work with VR

Bought to use on my PC because my GPU only has one HDMI port. I tried using it for VR but it would say my headset is disabled. It would also somehow cause my computer to stutter and severely lag. I tried using it for my PC's main display but it doesn't support 4k60hz as advertised. It only reaches 4k30hz. My display can run at 4k60hz with the same HDMI cable I used with this adapter. I've already bought a cheaper adapter from another company and it works great with my VR headset.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Complete junk - the ends of the adapter broke off my graphics card

Okay, I just wanted to set up my second monitor. Nothing special. I just needed an HDMI DP adapter so I randomly picked it based on the reviews. I set everything up and found that I might need to select a different DP port on my graphics card. When I tried to pull it out the cases separated and I had to power it down completely and get it with pliers to pry the broken end out of my graphics card. I hope this didn't destroy the input port. Very angry about it; This messed up the rather…

It works great for Dell on a 4K TV

I've had a Dell Optiplex 5060 Micro connected to a Vizio P55-F1 TV for about a month and this adapter allows me to install Windows up to to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. That's great. I don't use HDR in this setup so I have nothing to do with it. The only problem I had, and I believe it's a Windows problem, is that on the TV, Windows sees this dp2hdmi adapter and not the TV itself, and I have no sound. I have to unplug the HDMI cable from the adapter and plug it back in to initialize the new HDMI…

Dead, dead, dead, good for computer accessories and peripherals

These DP-HDMI cables are dead as a doornail. Tested DP outputs from 1) PC with Nvidia GTX 1070 and 2) HP laptop and HDMI inputs to 1) Acer monitors and 2) HDMI switch to monitors, and every time these cables were in the mix, none became received signal. Another weird thing is that the seller seems to have categorized this product as a nightgown (or something like that) at Revain because the ratings refer to "clarity", "thickness" and "warmth".

Pros
  • Year-long trial
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

I can only do 4k30hz.

It seems that with these damn adapters everyone has a different way, some are 4k60hz, some are not. I'm one of those guys who didn't get 60Hz. As you can see in my screenshot of the PC tab in Nvidia Control Panel settings, I can only select 3840x2160 at 30Hz via DisplayPort. My graphics card has 3 DisplayPort (1.4) ports and my TV supports HDMI 1.4 and 2.0. I don't know what to do with it. ::shrugs::

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • A bit crumpled

Inconsistent, cuts off at times and kinda lags behind my monitor.

TL;DR: Works but sometimes it turns off the monitor and I have to plug it back in to turn it back on and the mouse slows down. Just so you know where this review came from, I know my computers and have created a desktop using them. I've also updated this desktop at least twice, with one change (new motherboard, processor and cooler). The reason I bought it is because my GPU didn't have another HDMI port so I needed an adapter for my second monitor as I connect my VR set to another HDMI. What's…

Pros
  • UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY: This 4K DP HDMI adapter is compatible with laptops (HP ProBook EliteBook, Lenovo ThinkPad), tower desktops (HP, Dell, Lenovo), graphics cards (AMD, NVIDIA) and other devices with a DisplayPort connector.
Cons
  • Crumpled

This expensive problem adapter is looking for a solution. I know it's my fault for not fully reviewing all product photos. One I missed clearly states that the adapter will only work from a DisplayPort source like a laptop to an HDMI input device like a monitor. I have a different situation. HDMI DVR (source) to Displayport monitor (input). I loved the description of a photo that shows an advanced interface chip and claims that HD Transmission is an all-in-one video solution. I thought I found…

Does not work as advertised

First off, the adapter is deceptively unintuitive to use as it is simply an adapter. To function properly, the + HDMI adapter cable must be connected to the source's DisplayPort FIRST and then the other end to the display's HDMI port. If you change the order, Windows and display drivers will assume that the adapter itself is your monitor and limit your output to a maximum resolution of 1080p/60Hz. The order of connection is important because the active adapter requires power from the…
