Finally flicker-free 4k@60hz on a 2016 MacBook Pro

Advantages: - 4k@60Hz 10bit/channel no flickering, black screens, random disconnections - Well made cable with nice nylon braiding - Great price! Potential downside: - Doesn't kink like most DisplayPort cables - No clips or release button (didn't matter, connection is still tight). turns off. A few USB-C to HDMI docks that claim 4k@60 only work at 4k@30. Initially the colors on my Philips screen were washed out - not the fault of this cable but due to a bug in macOS or the EDID profile for this

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Security

Nice high quality 10ft cable that delivers perfect 4K video at 60Hz

I am using this cable to connect the DisplayPort input on a Dell P2715Q 4k display directly to the Thunderbolt 3 port on my new iMac to connect 2020. At first I was skeptical that such a long cable will work well, but the video is stable at all resolutions and I checked 60Hz performance at 4k resolution using Dell's on-screen display tools . Note that the DP end of this cable doesn't have secure retaining clips (which I didn't particularly like). Also note that this cable can be a little less…

I am using this cable to connect the DisplayPort input on a Dell P2715Q 4K display directly to the Thunderbolt 3 port of my new 2020 iMac At first I'm skeptical that such a long cable would work well, but the video is stable at all resolutions and I've got 60Hz operation at 4k resolution using Dell's on-screen display tools confirmed. Note that the DP end of this cable doesn't have secure retaining clips (which I specifically didn't want). Also note that this cable can be a little less flexible

Excellent USB-C to DisplayPort cable

With my MacBook I was looking for a cable to connect to my 3440x1440p@120Hz monitor. I didn't want to worry about the limitations of HDMI, so I chose this cable because it supports the DisplayPort 1.2 specification. I'm also a fan of high refresh rates. This cable works great with my monitor (Z35P). It supports both 3440 x 1440p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. I've uploaded photos to show the drop frame tests and you can clearly see it running at 120Hz with no drop frame. As for the build…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

The hunt continues - the cable didn't work

At first the quality of the cable seems pretty good. It is very well packed in a resealable plastic bag. Both ends of the cable come with plastic connectors, along with some product information from the manufacturer. After preparing the cable for use, I connected it to my iMac and BenQ monitor but there is no display. So I unplugged the cable from both devices and repeated the connection process again - ugh! Still nothing, not even a tiny flicker on the screen. Okay, so charm for the third…

  • Amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
