Apparently not all of these Mini DisplayPort adapters work with the new Apple M1 computers. I'm happy to report that this one works great. Just make sure your monitor has a Mini DisplayPort and not a Thunderbolt input like the 2011-2012 models. The construction looks really premium and solid. Im impressed and happier camper.

I needed an adapter to connect my old Apple Cinema Display to my new MacMini with Thunderbolt 3 ports. It connected easily and delivered the same good picture quality as my MacBook Pro. I've read several reviews on other products that this may / may not work. but it even powers my existing USB 2 ports on my display. Well made product.

I used this product to connect a 2020 Macbook Air to a very old 30" Apple Cinema Display. The ACD has a complex two link DVI Connector Adapter I on the old computer had a dual Thunderbolt 2 connector.The dual channel adapter had two connectors: TB2 and USB (presumably for power).Connect the USB cable from the dual channel.

I bought this dongle (adapter) USB-C to Mini Display Port to connect to my LaCie Hard Drive with Mini Port Input Display but it doesn't work. I'm open to suggestions. I've previously connected my old 2013 13" MacBook Pro Retina to a LaCie hard drive and then to my 30" Apple Cinema, so I was hoping to do the same with my new M1 MacBook Pro. 13 inches with this USB-C to Mini DisplayPort adapter. It's a nice device, I just don't know how to rate it.

The 27" doesn't seem to work with backward compatible Thunderbolt 2 or better ports. When using these connectors, the picture may flicker or not appear at all. Connection is "Mini Display Port" ONLY and works great, good colors at full native resolution and completely stable with no flickering. Exactly why Apple's first monitor with a mini-display connector is finicky, I don't know. But the Apple salesman in the Brooklyn store knew that and told me what to buy.

Perfect they work great. The biming I had previously completely deteriorated/unreliable after 1 1/2 years. This one seems to be of better quality than that one. I noticed that I bought a couple of USB-C adapters to regular USB Type-A adapters that are offset to fit adjacent USB-C slots, also made by JSAUX, so seems that being a pretty good company. Perfect and works great! I have 2 of these and use them on 2 Apple Cinema displays connected to an HP 13" laptop (work computer). MacBook Pro Retina and HP Laptop with USB-C to Mini Adapter. Like another reviewer, I have successfully used this to connect a 30" Apple Cinema Display (ACD) to a new MacBook Air. The ACD has a dual link DVI output. I connected it to an Apple Mini DisplayPort (MDP) DVI Dual Link Adapter. With this MDP to USB-C conversion cable and another USB to USB-C conversion adapter, I can use the ACD.
