Fall off household items easily

I REALLY wanted them to like them but they don't have the grip or the wrist bend to hold them in my hand. As soon as I tried to mix or when they come in contact with shea butter or something like that, they immediately come off and stick to the food. I like the eco-friendly aspect, but I need something in the wrist area to hold them.

Much better for the environment

Although these gloves are expensive they are worth it! Disposable plastic gloves are environmentally hazardous and are used in large quantities in the food industry. I feel better knowing my bakery isn't contributing to plastic glove waste with these eco-friendly, biodegradable gloves.

Pros
  • Good product for the price

Use sandwich bags on your hands instead

Terrible. Imagine the thinnest and cheapest plastic bags, if you wear them on your hands, they are better than those "gloves". They are insanely thin and tear instantly. Oddly shaped fingers, bulging at the ends and too thin at the knuckles. Don't let the green oval on the box fool you, these are standard green gloves, these are clear sandwich bags with tags attached.

  • Pleasant
Cons
  • For oldies

Ideal alternative to feeling good

Excellent gloves. It's a loose glove like gastronomy, but the material actually hugs your hand and fingers like a latex glove, so they don't slip off easily. I feel great knowing they are eco friendly. The sizes are also forgiving. I'm short and my fiancé is a climber with big hands but the gloves we got fit both of us. A great alternative to plastic and latex based disposables for cooking, cleaning, shopping etc when immersing hands in water is not required (due to free wrist).

Good gloves, I will buy again

I was skeptical after seeing the negative reviews about the gloves being thin and easy to fall off. After multiple uses as food gloves, these gloves are not bad at all. are they perfect no I have small to medium hands and the gloves are really big for me. However, for general food handling like picking up meat and slicing food that doesn't require precision, these gloves do a good job of keeping hands clean. I've used it multiple times for mixing. At first they fell off easily. I later…

Very Good - Gloves

Please note that PLA is not a "biodegradable" plastic. It is a compostable plastic, which means that it only breaks down effectively in compost, i.e. when mixed with dirt and other organic materials, as well as moisture and bacteria. It's not made for backyard composting, but for a commercial facility. We try to avoid plastic as much as possible. PLA is one step closer. While it's not a perfect solution, I think it's better. The gloves fit well and are thicker than cheap plastic gloves. They…
