DiversiTech UA 1 Universal Alarm 24V Review

This is less of an alarm and more of a soft beep. It sounds something like your microwave oven's short beeps when you press the buttons. If your HVAC system is in a closet, attic, etc., you'll probably never hear the alarm.

Don't worry. This little thing wants to be alerted when it grows up. When activated, it chirps like a chick and you have to stand by to hear it. I estimate it radiates around 35dB. If you attach this to a pump or other device in the attic or basement, you won't hear it anywhere in the house.

Works very well but as others have said could be louder. I had previously bought another alarm clock for almost twice the price - this alarm clock sounded like crickets at any distance. The DiversiTech alarm clock is much nicer and the alarm is more visible, but a little more volume would be great.

I bought this as a horn for my aquarium (the apex controller will turn it on if it detects a problem). It beeps intermittently when it turns on, and the mute button is great for turning it off when troubleshooting. My only complaint about it is that it's too quiet. I had to install it outside of the aquarium cabinet to make it loud enough and distracting enough. Probably around 75 dB. It would be ideal if it were a little louder and/or had an adjustable volume control.

Works great! I hooked it up to my air conditioner's condensate drain switch system. When the transfer pump stops pumping condensate, its reservoir overflows, the internal float switch trips to shut off the pump, the A/C shuts off and this alarm sounds. Also, if the evaporator condensate drain line is plugged in the sump, the sump will overflow and drain into a sump in the return air box.
