Dixon 49400 Lumber Marking Crayons Review

Great price for quantity. My husband needed them for work and we figured a large box would do a lot better than buying a couple here and there. They do what he needs them for.

I like to enjoy my work when I can. Nobody uses pink crayons anymore, so the added bonus is that if I leave my crayon somewhere, everyone knows where to put it back! (You also know exactly which labels are mine.)

The crayons in the photo when I bought them were pink and they are on the box. I open the box and I have a pack of orange colored pencils. They do their job but sell their orange bug as pink. As you can see, there are orange crayons in the current image.

The box was broken and half of the crayons in the bag were broken when I received them. Tried to return but REFUND IS NOT POSSIBLE. Also, these things are dirty and graphite is everywhere. Went straight in the trash when I found out I couldn't get them back.

The item I ordered was wrong. I ordered pink crayons and received orange crayons in a box marked 'pink'. There were supposed to be 12 crayons in the box but there were only 11. Update: I have sent the crayons back for a replacement. I received a box marked "pink" but with orange crayons in it. Although this time it was 12 full colored pencils.

I use them to mark logs for cutting into firewood. They mark the places where the wet bark was torn off on wet, dry and even slimy parts of the tree trunks. As a length guide I use a 2x2 pencil with light colored ends so I can find it easily and I use a Dixon holder to keep the crayons from breaking. Hardwood crayons just don't work for my purpose.
