When my daughter told me she wanted a soap making kit I was hesitant given the fact that most of these kits contain tons of chemical additives. Not this one! I was pleasantly surprised to find high quality natural ingredients in an easy to use kit. My daughter had a blast making these wonderful soaps and I had peace of mind that the ingredients were safe for her. Fab kit - fabulous company!

I like this easy kit. The goat base melted very easily (I didn't use the microwave as suggested in the instructions because I'm totally against microwaves, I used the cauldron from the candle making kit instead :). A miracle worked.) The 2 oils that come with the kit have a very rich smell. The instructions say you can make 3 soaps of each type. I actually bought this and then returned it unused and untouched because I found it more economical to buy individual components separately for large gift projects. This makes sense if you just want to make a few soaps, or want to receive a pre-packaged all-in-one as a gift - but think you might want to make a dozen soaps. either way, then it makes sense to pick up an inexpensive pack of £2 or £4 blocks of soap and some decent moulds. I bought this set for my daughter's 9th birthday. As soon as we received the package she ripped it open and was ready to go. All ingredients are pre-portioned and ready to use with very simple instructions. The intention is to make 3 pieces of coconut and 3 pieces of rose-scented soap. However, it would be so easy to add your own essential oils and coloring to the base if rose, for example, isn't to your liking. Although my baby liked the rose scent AND the pink color so we mixed as instructed.
