Pros: This gimbal is great, the battery life is amazing (and it can charge your phone while you're recording videos). Images are smooth and clear. Cons: Shooting at certain angles will get the stabilizer into the frame, so keep that in mind. Make or buy your own counterweight (I used shims). 09/14/2018 Update: I do not recommend the DJI app for filming. However, I highly recommend getting the FilmicPro app (a $14 value). Makes the footage amazing.

I bought this unit for a family trip to some national parks. I spent almost 2 hours connecting my new DJI Osmo II to my iPhone 8. I've followed the very limited printed instructions, YouTube videos and on-screen instructions and at times it would connect and then disconnect to start over. The behavior was erratic and inconsistent, with no apparent reliability. I'm not sure I ever managed to get it working, but I was so blown away by its functionality that I gave up and left it in a box at home.

In a word, I LOVE THIS THING! I recorded almost 60GB of 4K video with this thing and did some live streams from Disneyland. It's easy to use and the battery life lasted longer than I hoped, but not as long as some reviews suggested.
