🔧 DNA Motoring OEM-CONV-028: Factory Style Catalytic Converter Exhaust Pipe for 03-08 Corolla/Matrix/Vibe 1.8 - Compatible & Reliable Review

This is a universal part and not for a specific car, it could not be installed on my car. Took it to 3 mechanics and they all said they just installed the OME version of this part.

The flange and bowl are of horrible design and will not work with the original bolts OR the bolts provided. Been struggling with this for too long. Trust me, it doesn't happen, and when it does, it will fail. In addition, the downpipe does not overlap with the existing exhaust pipe. I mean right? Why the hell did they do it? Really don't buy this junk.

Also sets code p0420. Both O² sensors are relaxed and there are no leaks. The converter does not meet the manufacturer's specifications for exhaust gas cleaning. Probably not enough platinum group metals to keep costs down. Luckily my customer wasn't too upset because his old one installed the code and connected, so at least that was fixed. After I paid the mechanic to install the catalytic converter the engine light went out which means the problem has been fixed. The next day the engine light came on again. I took it back to the mechanic. The mechanic read the code with his car and it indicated that the catalytic converter was defective.
