Excellent quality USB hub! Connections work well

This USB hub meets my needs well. I mainly use it for an Ethernet adapter, USB ports for a mouse and keyboard, and an HDMI port for a monitor. It all works. I've also used it successfully with a security key. One problem is that the hub can get warm when using Ethernet. I'm not sure if it always needs to be this warm, but for now it's not a problem.

Gets Hot - Computers and Accessories

Works most of the time. First, my Macbook Air won't boot when plugged into the power port and the power adapter is plugged into a hub. If I unplug it and wait, I can plug the hub back in and it works fine. Also note that this hub gets quite hot when using HDMI and other USB devices. UPDATE 30.8. The seller responded quickly to my concerns and offered a fair and helpful solution. This product will continue to work. I'm just watching how many hard drives, monitors I connect to it. No connection to the monitor via the Thunderbolt port. It's getting very hot.

It took a lot of fiddling to finally connect the laptop to the monitor. If I restart or turn off the PC, I have to start over. Sometimes I just can't reconnect the monitor. All I have to do is plug it into my laptop's HDMI port. This defeats the purpose of buying a docking station through a regular USB port. I only had to pay twice as much to get an official docking station from the manufacturer that actually works properly. I've also tried getting Win+Ctrl+Shift+B to connect to no avail. I…
