The ruler was sliding everywhere until I added a non-slip pad to it. It has lots of instructions but they are confusing and you also need to keep a very large piece of cardboard packaging that they are printed on. Clearer instructions on the paper insert would be an improvement. As well as some non-slip ones. The idea seems very interesting if I can understand it.

The title says this is an 18 inch ruler. It's actually 15 1/4 inches long because the ruler starts at 2 3/4 inches. This length is not long enough to make a large Dresden plate from my pattern and I ended up buying a longer line from Revain. Didn't want to bother with a return so I just kept it to myself. I was misled by the title and description of it (although the picture was correct - I thought it might be wrong).
