Ideal for pop up campers.

Installed in my retractable camper Freedom 1620. Very easy installation, easy to use. The filters are beautiful and easy to clean.

Waste of time and money

My device is defective and hasn't worked since it was installed. The handles are terrible too! You better practice turning this thing on and off!

Good air distribution

Overall I like the air distribution unit but the knobs are very difficult to turn. There's a lot of friction that shouldn't exist. Either the holes in the assembly are too small or the angle of the switches in the ceiling base is wrong.

Works, mounting screws too short

Fits my 640315CXX1C0. The studs were too short for my thick (large inland) roof, a common problem my installer told me about. Luckily someone was able to weld on the extended stud. Dometic has to supply longer bolts, it's easier to cut them to length than lengthen them!

Knobs are tight: air conditioners

control knobs are very tight. It feels like they break every time I turn the device on. In addition, the associated air duct work was short. Called tech support at 1-800-544-4881 and was told they have a lot of calls with this issue and are pretty much having to live with it. I would not recommend this device.

Good unit (AC) that cover really sucks

When I went to install this unit only these 2 anchor bolts came so I went to the Van store to buy them so I could finish the install. The RV store does not sell them separately. So I used the whole thread. When I put the ceiling cover on, the control knobs don't line up and are too short. I thought I was doing something wrong so I took it to the camper shop, they said the lid and handles don't match and the handles are too short, yes

Excellent air distribution

Excellent air distribution with many deflectors and adjustments. The control knobs are difficult to understand when installing the unit, you must adjust the toggle connectors to their full length before the control knobs will fit, which is not mentioned in the installation guide. Installation also includes a few "extra" screws with locations on the sides, front, and back so you can ensure the edges are snug against the ceiling.
