Good quality for the price

This is a tiny belt sander. It's great for small sharpening jobs, but I had to go to the top of the grinder to sharpen the knives. The sharpening platform was a little wide to fit the entire blade onto the band. I see that in the near future a small modified platform will be added to solve this problem. Works quietly and smoothly.

difference in size and speed.

The size is perfect for a desktop computer and will be very useful for my hobby. The item arrived well ahead of the scheduled arrival date. Easy to change speed and sanding/polishing belts. The only thing I wish it had or was available would be different sized wheels to handle wider sanding/polishing belts.

This product worked great for about 10 minutes and then started smoking.

It is very small and compact and can be placed almost anywhere. However, the quality of mine was poor; The engine started smoking shortly after I started testing. Increasing the speed was a bad idea! As soon as I smelled burning plastic, I slowed down to a minimum. When I saw the smoke, of course I turned it off. I will come back and buy a better product.
