Works well. in interior

Remote control works well. Its range is not as good as the original remote, but it never fluctuates within its effective range. Also, my car always detects that the battery in the remote control is low even though I replaced the battery in it.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Piggy bank Price

Don't worry, that's garbage.

Tried to use it for my 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, the first one didn't work. Sent one back for exchange and the second doesn't work. I tried calling Dorman for assistance and the automated service hung up after 10 minutes of waiting. waste of my time and effort.

Pros
  • Easy setup

  • So-so

Bought for a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. First unit.

Bought for a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. The first device didn't work, but the replacement came quickly. The second block started working immediately. The key fob works but my car's message center shows "KEY FOB BATT LOW" which you have to confirm every time you start the car. It's a small hassle and a small price to pay for saving $100 or more in dealer replacement costs.

It worked great the first time as advertised. Not only that, I disassembled the original key fob and found that the battery holder had come loose, so I resoldered it and successfully programmed it as well. I am very happy with the result and there are 3 more programming sessions left in the…

Worked for a Chevy Malibu 04

Bought a Chevy Malibu 04 that only had 1 defective original tag. This Dorman kit worked. I bought a second one to have another spare tag and now 2 are working properly. The plug supposedly has 3 uses, which I find ridiculous. I understand they don't want you to use the plugin on multiple cars, but restricting use of the same car is nonsense... I know they have to make money, but seriously? Having bought 2 (since each only comes with 1 fob) I have a few uses for a plug block and a new unused…
