I brought you without a key fob I used it to program 2 key fobs. I ordered one with this kit and the other. I had to close the door, turn on the key, then connect to the OBD, then hold the buttons down

This worked very well for my wife's 2008 HHR. The two supplied remote controls no longer worked despite a new battery. I bought it together with 3 additional remote controls. 4 is the maximum you can program for a car. If you follow the instructions and the power connector/OBDII connector fuse isn't blown, it should only take a few minutes.

Within 5 minutes of Amazon delivery I programmed two remote controls for my car. It is very important to be absolutely sure that you are buying the right kit for your car. That's why I bought this product from Dorman. Always the quality of this company. Please note that once plugged into your vehicle's OBD port, you can only use two minutes and a maximum of three programmed remote controls. So be prepared.
