Chevy Cruze 1 LT for parts

The part fit perfectly, the original was completely missing and the shifting was sloppy. Rockauto.com stated that this part was out of stock. This fits my 2014 Cruze 1 LT 1.4L Turbo.

Bushing kit for spares

Lever very difficult to hit damaged first. I've been a mechanic for 40 years, have installed many of these bushings, don't think the ones I have installed will last long

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Expensive

Easiest jack I've ever installed

My Silverado has two in this box. I bought two just in case so I now have 3 spares. removed, truss cut off, plugged into the eyelet of the cable and cable plugged onto the gearbox. It took me about two minutes.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Doubtful

Superb detail and perfect fit

I put on about 10 minutes, it took longer to lift the machine and assemble the tools. I just put it on like I would put on a bicycle or car tire. I started by inserting a corner, going around and pushing until everything was in the cable. I had a little pair of pliers to help me, but mostly by hand. The cable is then simply inserted into the gearbox. I've been using it for about 3 days and no problems. I have 12 Escalade ESVs.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Compatibility

Best for Transmission and Transmission

Chevy Silverado 1500 2011 5.3 V8 4x4 The first picture is the OEM hub which fell apart then the new hub. (Installation guide was not included, images are also uploaded in OEM order. The hub and the new one were probably mixed up by the Revain system)πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈBut… I see everyone is having trouble installing this hub. The best way to incorporate this into the fitting was to heat the bushing. You can use a heat gun or a lighter. Once it becomes flexible you can press it in place. This is much easier

Decline in Dorman Products

What can I say, I've been using Dorman Automotive Products for many years and have had minor issues in the past, but that's not a problem. I bought 2 of these shifter bushing replacement kits (1 for installation, 1 for spare). Well, I'm very disappointed with this move. Of the 2 sets of 4 bushings, none did the job. All 4 popped out at the slightest touch of my finger, not to mention shifting from park to reverse or while reversing. The cycle changed 6-8 times with each bushing before they…

Almost impossible to install on a 2007 Escalade! Huge waste of money!

Myself and another very experienced mechanic tried to install this hub on a 2007 Escalade which they said would fit. This thing is almost impossible to install from the shifter side. Oddly enough, it fits perfectly on the side of the gearbox. There are no instructions anywhere on how to install this thing. I've spent about 1.5 hours trying various methods to force this bushing into the hole at the end of the shifter cable, but it's almost impossible. It's like it's too big to even fit in. The…
