My car started to accelerate on its own and I was confident that all my vacuum knees were new. nope The photo shows the quality. Find something else

Fits 2.3 Ranger valve cover

One of the fittings in this kit was used as an elbow for the crankcase ventilation line on my 2002 Ford Ranger (Duratec 2.3). This line goes from the valve cover to the air intake. It's a rubber manifold that comes straight out of the valve cover. I had a hard time finding this rubber arm.

Great suggestion for sealing. Replacement Parts

Nice new parts for tired old soft rubber connectors on Ford engines. Keep your PCV system clean and tight to keep your engine running great! If you have vacuum leaks, be sure to buy them. Big discount on Amazon, just one of the knees in the kit would have cost me $12 at the parts store but I got all 4 for less.

Update - small 90 ripped after 1 week

The small 90* hose was a perfect replacement for my 2002 Ford Escape front valve cover, it was much cheaper than buying a replacement vacuum line pipe assembly through Ford. UPDATE: After 1- week of installation, the small 90* pipe came loose right at the seam. Same problems as some others. I do NOT recommend this product.

They will fall apart under the hood of your engine

I put a 90 elbow in my 02 Ford Escort 2.0L Sohc PCV exhaust valve. On day 2 the check engine light came on. thin glass1. The elbow broke at the seam of the form. Okay, put another one in from this kit. It took 5 days if I'm lucky before he did the exact same thing as the first time. torn at the seam. I contacted my local Ford dealer and ordered a Motorcraft PCV hose assembly. about $27. since then everything is fine.

Parts search complete

I usually find the part but the short 90 degree rubber fitting from the tee that connects the vacuum line from the throttle body to the front valve cover was elusive. This is finally the solution. Good thick strong but flexible fittings fit snugly better than new ones. Thanks again Dorman, I just wish there was an easier way to find products. I've spent hours on numerous websites. The image shown is the odd 90 degree fitting that goes into the left/front valve cover. Other details provided were

Exact knee for '01 Escape 6 cyc.

Includes precision elbow I was looking for a 2001 Ford Escape rocker cover breather tube. I could find it anywhere and you would have to buy the whole breathing circuit that went front to back. Everything was fine except for the front knee that was attached to the front valve cover of the 6 cylinder engine. The bow has a 5/8 inside diameter at one end and a 3/8 inside diameter at the other. Fits perfectly!. Much cheaper than buying the whole system for $45 or more depending on where you can…

Pros
  • Quality construction

  • Requires socket
