Dorman 46087 PCV Valve Hose Review

Exactly what I needed and solved my problem so far so good. Maybe you just need the best PCV valve, but for the price you can't beat it.

Perfect fit for my 2001 F150. Love that it comes with PCV. Tight fit at both ends to prevent vacuum leak. Fair price per hose.

The hose seems ok but the PCV valve fell apart when I tried to remove it, to check the suction power. The PCV valve was replaced with a good one.

Fits great but after a week the PCV valve started buzzing so loud you can hear it on the side of my truck. Valve exchange is ok and everything is ok, the fittings and the hose are worth their price.

I haven't worn it but it works for a good reason because I had to replace the top air intake so I just had my mechanic do it. But it works fine. But anyway, my truck is a 2001 Ford F150 Supercrew 4wd 5.4 2v.

Build quality appears to be very good - although others say the valve itself was not. I bought the original valve to replace the one on the hose based on other reviews but found the original to be good enough and installed it when it arrived. No problems for a few months so far.

This does not exactly fit my 2001 F-150 4.6L. The kink/angle in the pipe above the PCV valve that goes into the engine valve cover is too high. I was able to bend it in place but it doesn't look like the original. I'm hoping that the extra stress from bending doesn't severely shorten the life of the tube. That works first.

With a little effort I fitted it to my 2000 F150 4.6L. I didn't use the cheap plastic PCV that it came with, I had the metal one I got from AutoZone for about $3. Pulling out the old hose was agony for me and this one I just pulled up and a minor adjustment allowed the hose to fit the PCV almost perfectly. The right angle on that hose on the PCV might put you off installing it, but as I said, I'm fine with positive airflow with no kinks. With the replacement of this hose and another, my bad…
