Great value for an Electronic Load Detector or ELD. I did not remove the fuse block to replace it. Just sag a little and use the tweeker to reach the connector and disconnect it. Hold the connector with a twister and install the ELD. Made. Is a bit cumbersome, but 5 minutes work.

It worked best in electrics

To be honest I don't remember exactly what it does, just my old one put out a code. I looked it up and found a video on YouTube and it recommended replacing it. I installed it, cleared all my codes and waited a few days while driving. When I reconnected my code scanner, 2 out of 3 codes were gone. So that seems to have been enough. Easy to install and not too expensive.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Something's wrong

No more "Check Engine " lights!

When I first received the code that said I needed to replace the ELD in my 2002 Honda CR-V I immediately checked. Nobody had it in stock. I slapped my forehead and went to good old Revane. The price difference was very small but at least I could get it. Installation was quick and easy, as was delivery. The ELD works great and the "Check Engine" light is no longer on the dash. The code is gone too!

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • For Old

Perfect Match Honda Civic Ex 2001

Honda Civic Ex 2001 Check Engine Light Scanner Code P1298 Electrical Load Detector has failed, typical of Honda. The Honda dealership does not sell individual ELD parts for older models, instead replacing the fuse box for $335. This is madness. And they wanted $135 for a diagnostic reading, no thanks. Contact Autozone for a free diagnosis. I ordered this ELD part and it fits perfectly and is very easy to DIY. Just go to YouTube to show you how. After the replacement, the check engine light went

2002 Honda Civic LH 4 โ€‹โ€‹Door.

This is for Dorman 601-019. I used this on a 2002 Honda Civic LX 4-door automatic transmission. All the mechanics said my computer blew up and charged me $800-$1400. Some said that only a dealer can replace a computer. Some said I needed a used computer and a new steering column. They wanted me to buy the speaker and computer from the same machine so I could use the new key to start. I was just about to park my car. I watched a video on YouTube where the guys said it was about this topic. Iโ€ฆ

HAPPY it solves the problem

I bought these parts on occasion last year and my 2004 Civic Si had a code before I bought it. Since it was a year ago I don't remember what the code was or exactly what it said. But I did some research on the forums and people said that replacing this ELD will solve the problem. I don't want to spend too much money to fix the car so I was quite skeptical that a simple replacement would solve the problem. After about 20 minutes of installation I successfully replaced ELD on my computer andโ€ฆ
