Very good alternative to the dealer

Much cheaper than the dealer and half the price of the local parts store. New vent cap included. If your car is overheating, make sure the lid is closed. I've seen many water pumps replaced because of a failed pressure cap. As a rule, the coolant begins to boil under the overflow. This part was equal or better than the factory part. 3 screws and some clips and you're back in business.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not bad

Excellent quality. Small problem with the sensor connector.

OE quality. The old tank had a crack and it helped! My only issue is that the sensor connector didn't fit 100% like the original, but it fits just enough for the sensor to work. Let's hope the cork holds and there are no more problems in the future. Although this may be an isolated case for the VW Tiguan. Otherwise, it's a great item at an even better price.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Can't remember

Poor connector design

I would like to give this review 5 stars but this is a small manufacturing defect on the two pins that the sensor connects to. The ends are blunt instead of tapered, which can damage the connection on the car connector and result in a misconnection. I have emailed the manufacturer several times and even sent the VIN number to make sure it is the correct part for the car but without permission. Luckily while it still works.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Terrible taste of fresh water

I used this for the water intake line to the fresh/potable water pump on the van. Water takes on an intense chemical taste after a short wait - it's difficult to pour out of your mouth. I quickly replaced that line with a piece of Camco drinking water hose, which was much better straight away and left only a very, very slight taste in the line after all night. I would not use this hose for drinking water supply.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Ok

Perfect fit, easy assembly

The coolant light came on and the dealer wanted to charge me $700 to replace the water pump. My guess is that a German engineer designed the car so you have to remove the engine mounts and lift the engine to get to the water pump and serpentine belts. While debating whether to pay $700 to keep a 12-year-old car or throw it away, I found the hose connection at the expansion tank had snapped and was leaking coolant. I replaced it with this baby and the coolant no longer burns. happy me

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Some trouble

Said it fits my car but NO

The tank has a BIG problem, the level sensor connector does not lock and so after about 5 minutes of running the car the connector vibrates so much that the coolant begins fire arrives. It's not because it's loose, it's because the plastic is too long. I bought another one from the parts store, a different brand, and the connector clicks and won't disconnect. What a waste of money. I don't think they will take it back now that I had the coolant. DO NOT buy if you have a 2016 VW Tiguan SE 2.0L…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Was damaged

(Corrected and edited) Fits great except for sensor connector

Replacement for MkV Jetta with 2.5 liter engine. Fits perfectly. One issue, the sensor connector is a little too long which causes the 'Low Coolant' light to come on every time I start the car. Does anyone have a solution for this? Here's the solution. Inside the connector (the one that's attached to the car, yes, the one with the wires sticking out) is a spacer. mine was purple. Inserting a small screwdriver or tool into the connector, slide the seal toward the access port connector and pull…
