DORMAN 603-500 Coolant Reservoir: Enhancing Engine Cooling Efficiency & Performance Review

Works great. Only two screws, quick installation. The delivery could have been better but the shank tabs were broken. If I hadn't been frantically looking for my car I would have returned the part. (My thermostat is stuck closed. A seam on my old tank burst due to the pressure)

So far so good. The part installed on my 1998 Mazda 626 with no problems. When I twisted the cap I actually heard a leak which the old one didn't have and I can't find antifreeze under the hood anymore. I will take the car for a 7 hour drive and better understand if it lasts.

This took longer than I thought! I don't know if it was a third party or Amazon, but it took almost 2 weeks. It was pretty cheap for this part and worked great in the Mazda 626 I needed it for.

Replaced the original tank on my 2000 Mazda 626 V6. The original leaked at the seams. This comes with a new cap and drain hose as shown in the photo. It fits perfectly so it only took about ten minutes to install. It has been installed for about a month and the car has been driving every day so far with no problems.

I ordered this reservoir because of a problem with my old reservoir which had a poor coolant cap seal and a small crack on the rim of the reservoir which was leaking antifreeze. . I was really happy to see that when I received my coolant reservoir it was just right for my car. The first order took a little longer than expected. But I'm happy to have installed my much needed new tank and it's holding up well to this day.

First I receive a defective product - I think it's because of the tough UPS shipping. The material doesn't seem to be as durable as most plastics. Inspect the product for shipping damage, microcracks, or discoloration in the form of milky-white jagged lines. If possible, carry out a pressure test with a large plastic pan filled with water before installation. You'll save yourself a lot of frustration later. Anyway, I got a replacement with no problems. Difficult to get parts for my 2002 Mazda 626 here in Honduras. When I first bought the car earlier this year, it had a few issues.
