Do not buy! in Accessories & Parts

They fit well, the only problem is that you can't remove them without pliers when you need to check air pressure or remove them. Dirt and sand get into the carving. I've used them on 18 wheelers, pickup trucks, ATVs, and lawn mowers. Everyone had the same problem

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Good product for tires and wheels

good fit and finish. It has a rubber O-ring inside for a good seal. The only thing that bothers me is the metal on the metal surface. Dissimilar metals, so some cathodic action may occur over time. It is recommended to use some lubricant to keep the cap from corroding the valve stem.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Use at your own risk

Although they look nice, they stick to tire valve stems and cannot be removed without extreme measures. There are videos on YouTube of people taking propane torches and heating the lid to take it off. I would not recommend that. My best advice is to avoid these caps and stick with the plastic variety.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Problems

Great quality for the price!

I have a curved bodice with a straight rib pattern, the picture shows hatching. Are they shiny and I assume they are nickel plated? The valve stems fit smoothly, but I'm wondering if I should reinstall them with a dab of anti-seize lube on the threads to prevent sticking to the valve stem. The valve stem is made of brass.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • boring packaging

EXCELLENT!: Tires and Rims

I bought these caps while looking for valve caps for my car. Please note that the product is not the one shown in the picture. The product has a flat end with a nipple. The actual product is stronger, heavier. These aluminum plugs look flimsy and flimsy in the photo. I like the strength and the caps have some weight which makes them thicker and weather resistant. I gave some of these away to my friends and if I use all 50 I will definitely buy 50 more!

They can fuse to the valve stem

Be very careful with this. After I fitted them to my car, three of the four fused to the valve stem. When I took the stem with pliers and used enough force with another pair of pliers to remove the cap, it actually ripped in half leaving the bottom portion fused to the stem. The rest were positioned so that the pressure gauge and inflators were no longer on top of the valve. Good that my tires were worn out. I suppose it would be fine if you lube the threads, but who wants that? I went back to…

Looks great, but beware of corroding aluminum valve stems!

problem with these caps. While they look great and feel premium, I believe they are chrome plated aluminum. I put them on my aluminum valve stems and within a year all four were corroding to the melting point with the valve stems. When attempting to remove them, just a slight twisting motion caused the valve stem to shear off under the valve seat (stem was weakened by corrosion), necessitating replacement. If you add some grease or some other anti-rust compound to them they'll probably be fine,

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • I don't have much dislike for it, everything is fine

Simple, cheap and very pretty.

I hate paying for "chrome" valve caps - I just want nice, simple caps that keep my expensive bikes looking good. Black plastic hubcaps seem cheap to me on expensive cars. Of course, who even notices? Regardless, at around $0.22 per cap for a $50 purchase, these caps are cheaper than some typical metal 4-piece cap sets. More importantly, if they get lost at the tire shop or replaced with cheap plastic caps, or if they're ever stolen, it's as easy as applying without wasting a second! Heck I…
