Poor quality, good for transmission and transmission

I gave one star for value for money because I installed on September 1st. Remove it and put another one, possibly on a new front axle. Not a happy tourist at the moment

Garbage - don't waste time

garbage - don't waste your time. They are silicone, not neoprene, and there are bubbles in the rubber moldings. Most likely, they will tear and flow there. In addition, the rubber is so soft that the clip itself can break. Go to Napa and buy genuine parts. They cost more but you will do it once.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

GARBAGE! Poor quality - didn't even last a year!

If you do not plan to change your outer CV joint boots every year, DO NOT BUY this item. They are made from CHEAP Chinese neoprene that will tear and leak within ONE YEAR! Save yourself the hassle, go to rockauto, find your OE part number, then go to the dealer or ebay and buy ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER boots. You pay the same price for an original part that lasts at least 20 years. I repeat: DO NOT buy those Dorman CV Boots!

Pros
  • Slim Design
Cons
  • Faulty

The hull did not stretch, dismantled the outer constant velocity joint.

Need an outer shell for a full size 90's Chevy 4x4 pickup truck. * Updated over 1.5 years later, this boot is still in good condition. Fits well, right kind of lube included, straps not heavy duty but same as many kits. If you're unfamiliar with tools for tightening CV bands, are you using compression bands from a plumbing supplier, farm store, etc. because you're going to need them? The previous owner raised the ground clearance to the sky, which weighs on the trunk. I adjusted the torsion bar

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Repair was much easier than expected

This trunk is easy to extend. I was worried about the installation but I followed the advice of others and bought a long plastic funnel (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000G7AJUS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and cut the big one End to fit the drive shaft hole. I turned the lid over, greased it and the funnel with grease, and it slides like it's falling off a log. I was surprised. The beauty of this method is that you don't have to remove another bolt to remove the wheel…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
