Must Buy Oil Pan Remover

If your oil pan is disassembled and you don't have the money to replace it. Get a size or two. Saves a lot of money on repairs and spare parts.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • For Old

Great temperature fixation. No permanent solution.

Worked great on my explorer. Nice temporary fix until I put a new oversized plug in there. It doesn't really seem like a permanent fix and the instructions say it's a one-time thing.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Weak

Perfect Repair for Manifold

This was the perfect repair for the cracked oil tank on my old ATV. Fast and inexpensive solution. Just make sure you don't touch the ground. The first plug had ripped off and oil was leaking onto my garage floor.

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Makes Me Mad

Fast fork. - Manifold and Parts

I have not been able to find this oil drain plug in local stores. Your replacement plug won't work either. I have had no issues with this fork over the years that I have used them in Neon. The car was about to be replaced so we wanted to fix a broken drain plug cheaply but it still works.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Expensive

Quick fix for a stripped aluminum drain.

Insert firmly into the removed M12x1.5 oil drain hole. A hole of this size is the minimum for this fork. I had to squeeze and wiggle it. If you have a hole this size you need a flat surface around the hole or you won't be able to push it through. recessed hole, it may not work. I'll be replacing the spiral threads as a permanent fix, although it actually works fine.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some small things

1/2 " works great on Sienna 2001.

This 1/2" male works great on Sienna 2001, I had to put some pressure on it (push and twist) but manual effort was enough. I'm not sure how much I had to tighten it after installing it, so I tightened it about 1/2 inch. After 2 months it is still holding up well. I will use it on my next oil change. doesn't work (won't seat properly lying on your back, into an uneven sump surface), so this plug was a great alternative for dealing with oversized $10 drain nuts or replacing a $100 sump. .

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Security

Torn threads on the oil pan? Get it

About 10 years ago an overzealous dealership mechanic stripped my mother's oil pan threads and the dealership wouldn't admit it. I bought this as a temporary fix until I had the funds to change the oil pan (it's an Acura, no fun changing it). 10 years after rotating 3 of these candles I still haven't replaced the oil pan. The rubber is excellent quality, all molded in one piece and all metal components are grade 8. You can't see it in the photos but there is a plate under the wing nut that it…

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Hard to say
