Dorman 674 398 Exhaust Manifold Kit Review

They fit perfectly. However, the ports were in an unfortunate state. I used a grinder to match the manifold to the gasket.

Installed by a professional Ford mechanic and stripped down to the center in less than 2 months. The truck is needed for work so I didn't have time to take it off to drive back. I think I'm stuck with this.

Just received today, my 1997 5.4 is ready to install. while it is being tested. The fit was clean, made in China. Will update after driving a few miles. UPDATE completely cracked 3 years later.

Spent about 30 minutes cleaning the inside walls with a carbide bur and a small flap grinder on a die grinder. finely cleaned. Made in China. I also bought the left header right away, it needed a lot less cleaning inside and didn't say China on the molding and the Dorman logo was much more detailed. Had to pay for shipping even though Revane led me to believe the order would have free shipping. All in all it was the best price I could find.

I bought this to replace the passenger side header on my F-250 5.4 '99 as I have a had an exhaust leak. I was struggling to get an OEM, but it looks like they just don't make OEM anymore (which I could find), so I went for it. It looks like a decent cast, but when I took a ruler and placed a feeler gauge on it, it deformed about 0.015. I was expecting better as I do NOT want to do this job again anytime soon due to a cracked manifold caused by a bad pour! The included gasket is pitifully flimsy

These Dorman cast iron exhaust manifolds are of high quality, fit perfectly and are a very good alternative to more expensive Ford manifolds. They are made in China but to Dorman specifications. I'm writing this review almost 5 years after the first installation of this Dorman manifold on my 1998 expedition.
