🔧 Dorman 702-013 Window Regulator Hardware Kit: Essential Replacement Parts for Select Models Review

Good price, good rivets. They are much larger than the regular rivets you can get at the hardware store and also require a larger rivet gun. Although they won't fit the rear window of my 1999 Mercedes E320, I found regular sized rivets at a hardware store that will fit.

I used one of these kits to install two power windows on my 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. There was enough equipment for both regulators in one set. I previously purchased a large rivet gun from Harbor Freight. Rivets are difficult to remove (drill) but they certainly make reinstalling easier.

Bought this kit to install my new Dorman window regulator. All of these rivets are too long, I used the shortest rivets from this kit and when I scrolled the window the scissors hit the long rivet and bent the new adjuster. I had to fix the damage and buy shorter rivets. Rivets shouldn't go into the regulator, don't make that mistake. This kit is a bad choice!

It only took me 4 short rivets to install the power window on my 2002 Ford Ranger, but it was nice to have the extras and options. I wasted a rivet just to check the tool, then another that couldn't grip the adjuster which I had to drill out. It's good to have spare parts. Make sure you buy a rivet gun that can handle 1/4 inch rivets. The tool used looks like a heavy duty bolt cutter.

I bought 2 boxes to replace 2 power windows on my '93 Buick Skylark. These Revitas are too big. Don't make the same mistake I did and double check that they're the size you need before Revain's return window closes. I only believed the vehicle compatibility checker that the Revain app uses to tell you if a car part is compatible with your particular car or not.

Quality hardware that works exactly as intended. I'd like to use rivets instead of machine screws and nuts, unfortunately I didn't do my homework first and these rivets have too large a shank diameter for a regular lightweight homemade rivet gun. It's not Dorman's fault so I won't do the usual reviewer bullshit by giving the product fewer stars due to my own mistake and I've stuck to those fat rivets in case I plan to use them in the future.

Zero stars! If you are working with the Explorer 02-05, make sure the kit includes rivets and screws. Phillips screws. There is no point in putting the window back on the regulator if a screw is needed! Update: After drinking and calming down, the screw works. Still not as simple as a screw. Raise the adjuster so the window is in place, then lower it so you can see the screw hole through the hole you drilled in the original rivet.
