🔧 Dorman 722-020 Leaf Spring Shackle: Ideal Replacement for Dodge / Mitsubishi / Ram Models Review

Earrings slightly wider and slightly shorter than the original. I'm not sure if this is a quality control issue or a technical issue. Otherwise they seem pretty heavy.

This strut saved the life of my old 2001 Dodge Dakota 4x4. Unfortunately, the truck is rusting and the original strut is loose. This part fitted perfectly and was cheap enough to fix an old rusty bucket.

Good spare parts. If you plan to buy these for pressing polyurethane bushings, good luck getting them out. The sockets are crimped in the middle to prevent the sockets from being pushed out. I had to drill out the upset part so the stock bushings could be pressed out.

Includes almost everything you need to replace a shackle on one side. Order two, do both sides. I found the quickest way to get the old ones off was to use a flashlight to cut off all the screws, including the rivets holding the brackets to the frame. You will need 12mm bolts and nuts to reattach the brackets or increase the size to 1/2".

Bought for a 2002 Dakota cab. Excellent quality neck. I highly recommend if you need braces for your Dakota. Other staples for Dakotas have a higher price. They are branded and they are the cheapest I have found. If you need braces, don't waste your time looking elsewhere, just get these. You will be happy.

Great brackets, easy to install yourself. They appear to be stronger than the original braces but I can't tell as the old braces are 90% rusted. At the same time I replaced the leaf springs, so everything went very well. The only problem was that the hole for the end of the leaf spring was a bit wider, but I bent it a bit for a tighter fit.
