Broke after a month. in a mobile home that is not used that often. Looking at the fracture it is obvious that it is a very porous metal with a beautiful chrome finish.

Well this one lasted 6 months but that's only because I've hardly used the van those dumb handles are such a crappy design.

Took less than a week! Also metal. Very bad design. I went to the junkyard and got the original 25 year old model that will last me as long as I own this van. The manufacturer has discontinued this pen. Don't waste money on it!

The casting for the product I received had teeth or teeth that were too small to properly engage with the teeth on the door spindle. The result was a handle that didn't "grab" the door spindle, but simply "rotated". The pen didn't work properly and had to be returned for a refund.

I've had it installed for a month and a half now. It works just as well as anything I bought at the parts store. I've been tempted to put off any review for at least a few years because it usually takes me so long to break them, but I have to admit this one seems a lot more stable than what I'm used to buying. I will update my opinion if necessary.

casting for her is just as bad. Really bad. Much thinner than the original and there isn't a smooth transition of the grip into a rounded area like the originals. This caused the mine to break within the first week of normal use. It might be fine for a trailer queen or a truck that spends 99.9% of its time in the garage, but don't buy these if you open the door more than every once in a while.

After 25 years of use, the standard driver's door handle finally broke and I needed a new one. I approached the bouncer for the quality I was expecting. Now I have a bad idea about the original part that broke in my hand after 17 days of use. I had to read the reviews. and Dorman should be ashamed to sell this product under his own name.

I bought 4 of these for a car, a door. Finally one from another car that never broke down and the other car with that crappy handle broke down after 2 days. Never broken and the one I pulled out still works. These pens are garbage! They break where the grip begins. Several years have passed and the scrap is still being sold. Don't buy more expensive ones. trash too. If you have time, take it to the landfill. You save time and money. Maybe they'll throw them away and buy something better.
