The factory were very fragile.

I needed to flush the heater core of my 1997 F150. Bought two of these and cut open an old garden hose. I glued them to the ends of the cut garden hose, removing the existing connectors. I bandaged them and washed the core. When I was done I used the white inserts on my old plugs to freshen them up a bit. The factory were very fragile.

Fits Town & Country 2008

I don't know why it says it doesn't fit Town & Country 2008. Couldn't find a compatible quick connector online and didn't want to buy the entire $100 assembly. I just did some research and found that it has 5/8 holes on both ends. That is what I needed. No leaks so far. I've driven it for hundreds of miles. I'm sure it will fit most Dodge Grand Caravans of the same year as well.

Ideal for fitting aftermarket hoses

When replacing the heater core in a 99 F150 I decided to replace the heater hoses because quick disconnects are a nightmare to open and I didn't want to mess with them again. One of the heater hoses is over $75 from Ford Motorcraft. An identical tube from Continental costs $12. The problem with cheaper hoses is that the quick connector is too big. I swapped this part out for the one that came with the Continental hose and quickly put it back together. The connector is manufactured just like aโ€ฆ

ATTENTION FORD AND ALL GM OWNERS YOU NEED THIS

If you have a Ford or GM product; (i.e. all F150s, all Silverados, Suburbs, Mustangs, etc.) Buy two of these and 2 size 2 clamps and keep them in the car, you will need them. (Required to connect heater core tubes to heater hoses) The OEM plastic fittings in your vehicle will dry out and crack over time, causing coolant leakage and failure. Plastic connectors will also fail and break if you press on them. Start saving hundreds of dollars now. Towing Fee: $169.00 Ford service charge of $179.00โ€ฆ

Worked well on a 1993-94 Aerostar once I got the right size

My 1993-94 Aerostar has two different styles of Ford Quick Connects. Quick disconnects are listed as 5/8" (Dorman 800-403) and 3/4" (Dorman 800-404). This refers to the tube that comes out of the heater core or metal fitting, not the size of rubber hose that connects to the quick disconnects. The radiator on my Aerostar 93-94 heater uses a Dorman 800-404. It worked fine once I got the right size. Dorman 800-403 appears to be used for the cross connections to the rear heater. Quality aftermarket solution to broken heater connections

Easy to install, be careful when removing and reinstalling the old ones, do not damage the plastic T on which it is mounted. And it helps to lubricate the inside a bit with the new coolant that drips when you take the old one off before attaching it. it's a tight fit. Many of the plastic parts in my 2002 Yukon XL's cooling and heating system became brittle and I was very surprised that I broke nothing but the old quick coupler. The old/original design pulls into the hose much tighter (it'sโ€ฆ

Perfect! in Engine Cooling & Climate Control

Okay, it has a couple of o-rings inside - you'll have to grab the white part to see them in place. path" because unfortunately I didn't have any tools at the time. So, here's what I did without tools. As I climbed into the cab and had access to the heater core (dashboard removed), I was pushed by another man two pipes from the outside towards me into the cabin Once I got my hands on the old quick couplers (with that little styrofoam cap/gasket uncut) I had to break the old quick couplers withโ€ฆ
