Exact Replacement Body and Fairing

This was for a 2006 Silverado Z71 with Extended Cab. This handle fits the passenger door. It was an exact substitute, texture and color. There is no keyhole on this handle, but there is one on the driver's side.

Looks like the original

The product was of good quality when it arrived. I was able to install it with a good YouTube video. It took just over an hour. Has been working great for over a month now. Looks just like the original.

Works well - body and finish

Not too difficult to install. If needed, you can find an installation video on YouTube. It looks the same as the factory original but doesn't have the texture on the back of the handle like the original. It is smooth. This isn't visible at all, so it won't be noticeable except for the handle.

Will Not Hold Trim

Dorman claims it has a limited lifetime warranty but if it does break (mine lasted less than 3 years) they advise you to go to your dealer for a warranty claim. Guess what. Revain's return window is 30 days, so that's essentially the warranty period. A very misleading advertisement by Dorman.

Delivery was fast with great service but that's where the good ends

The old pen broke so I ordered this one. Delivery was quick, service is great, but that's the good thing. The 3 bolts on the back didn't even come close to the door or the original handle. As a result, I dismantled the old handle and the new one. I used the parts I could remove from the new one and put them on top of the old one. That’s how the 15-minute work turned into an hour+. Spend the extra $ and get a good one.

Great replacement but no stronger than the original.

good fit and finish. However, through no fault of the company, this is initially a weak design by GM. If you've already damaged the original, don't expect it to be stronger. Again, this product is not to blame. GM could have made the original better. For example, they cannot be dragged if the door is frozen closed when closed. You should also make sure that other people do not pull on it too hard. However, they are the perfect replacement for a pen that just wasn't designed properly.

not an exact replacement for my 2004 HD

To be honest this fixed my problems with the door handle not retracting after being pulled to open the door. It fits the door well and LIKE an OEM door knob. The pattern on the outside is not as rough as the OEM version and I can tell by looking at the old and new grips. The most important thing for me, which struck me right away, is that the inside of the handle is NOT textured at all. I immediately feel the smooth plastic when I open the door and I knew it was different. It feels slippery and

I have had this door knob installed for a year now and it works perfectly. Not the easiest of installs, but that's not the fault of the part itself (hitch clamps are a little tricky). However, if you have a crew cab or truck in good condition, you may need an OEM. The mold lines and stitching are slightly different from the originals so they don't match exactly, and the grip itself feels a little cheaper (the back of the grip flexes a bit when compressed compared to the OEM).
