Effective Fuel System Tool

This fuel line disconnect tool is a must-have for any automotive enthusiast. My analysis of this product showed that it is easy to use and saves so much time when working with fuel lines. The plastic fittings ensure there is no damage to the lines during operation. The only downside I found was the tool's price, but it is worth the investment for its efficiency and quality construction. Overall, a great addition to any toolbox.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Requires specific size for fuel line fittings

Waste of time and money

If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought this to replace the indirect injector on my Duramax. This thing is flimsy and impossible to get into the fuel line to disconnect. When you press the button to loosen the plastic, it just bends and breaks. I ended up going to the auto zone and bought a better quality metal one and it fit on the first try. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS CAUSE.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

"Inexpensive " plastic tool worked well

A simple tool worked well to remove the fuel line from the indirect (9th) fuel injector on my 2011 Duramax pickup. Since I did this in my own car, I couldn't justify paying more than $100 for a name brand unit. I'm not sure if this will stand up to repeated use, but I'm not sure if more expensive models are better. I appreciate that Dorman provided the necessary tool at a price that a handyman could afford, but it still seems hard to believe that this little piece of plastic would cost more…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Speed of work
