2003 CRV Evaporator Code - Fixed!

This fixes my 2003 Honda CRV check engine light which was caused by a code related to the evaporator system. This was our first piece to try after reading many other renovation stories online. Works like clockwork, no more engine lights on!

  • Great Price
Cons
  • Problem

Damaged after 2 years, warranty by email, no reply

Hello. I bought this in October 2018 for my grandpa's 2004 CR-v, it had gone bad by October 2020. Email sent to warranty/technical service, no reply. I would avoid this product based on the quality and customer service. Many Thanks.

Doesn't work in vape cans

Bought this part to fix P1457 (vaporization code) for my RSX. Didn't fix the problem. So I took my car to the shop to have them look at it - they determined that this part was bad from the start. I replaced it with a genuine Honda OEM Evep canister valve and the code didn't come back. P1457 is gone and CEL is gone. I do not recommend this product.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • No

Seems to be a coincidence.

Haven't installed it yet but looks the same. My code actually crashed. Which is weird, so if he shows up again, I'll play a new role. If this is good or bad I will edit the review. In general, it looks like a complete match. I'm in a 2005 Honda Civic (DX VP if you're interested lol) it's a car ๐Ÿ˜ช but still a lot of fun ๐Ÿ˜

Pros
  • Quality assembly
Cons
  • Requires socket

2002 Honda Civic LX

This valve changed. Now I've gone through the emissions. It was a 2002 Civic lx 4-door 1.7. The codes are gone and the emissions are gone. The product I purchased was a Dorman 911-762 Vapor Canister Vent Valve. Everyone on the internet said it was a valve. I didn't do a smoke test, only switched because of the low price. Now I have a new registration and number plate. Changed everything except 30 minutes. However, I recommend buying the screws as they are not supplied and mine is rusty.

P1452 Code Fix 2002 Honda Civic LX

This part was exactly what was needed to fix the P1452 OBDii code on our 2002 Honda Civic LX. The EVAP container is easily removed and reinstalled under the rear of the vehicle and can be completed in 30 minutes using a 12mm socket and a Phillips screwdriver. This is the first thing to replace when you get code P1452 in the EVAP system. Easy for any DIYer to complete as well. A word of caution: the two screws can get stuck and may require a PB Blaster or similar to help them out. Do not useโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly Torn

Make sure you have a PB blaster and a spare screw set!

I received error code P1457 on my 02 Civic LX which caused the check engine light to come on. After some digging, it turned out that the problem was either in the canister vent valve or the carbon filter. It was about 1/4 the cost of a charcoal can, so I decided to try that first. Installation was very difficult because if you live somewhere with snow it's almost guaranteed that the 2 screws holding this are so badly rusted that they'll just snap if you try to remove them. To make mattersโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
