Doesn't work for me.

Tried it, thought the engine should be off, then stopped in Advanced Auto, got another to make sure the truck is running like a champ.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Nothing here

Won't start in parts section

I just installed it and now it's been taking a while to start. Communication is also tight. Never get Dorman parts again! And I can't get a refund for this if I stay in my local stores from now on.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Available in white only

Made the truck worse!

Not sure if your description was wrong or defective but it made my truck a lot worse. It kept outputting codes to the sensor and actually turned off the check engine light. I put the old one back in and it just had a random code and the engine light wasn't on.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Requires modification to work.

Product seems to work but installation sucks. The factory connector didn't fit until I completely cut the plastic tabs off the new sensor. What the hell! I shouldn't have done that. There the mold has come loose just a little, but enough that it won't stick without modification. I would suggest if this doesn't sound like what you want to do then avoid this product.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Fix

USUALLY GOOD LUCK WITH DORMAN PRODUCTS

I HAVE AN '07 CHRYSLER ASPEN 5.7 HEMI AND HAVE BEEN FIXING THE DRIVING PROBLEM FOR MORE THAN A MONTH AND THIS IS THE SECOND DORMAN CAM SENSOR FAMILY. FIRST TIME I SET THIS AND MY CAR PERFORMS WORSE THAN WITH THE OE SENSOR. IT WAS HARD AND STARTED, IF IT EVER STARTED AT ALL, THE SET CODES PO344, P3238, P3538, P304, P0300 - P304 AND P0300 WERE THE CODES I TRIED. I HAVE ANOTHER DORMAN SENSOR AND THE SAME AND CODE HAPPENS. WE HOPE THERE IS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE THAT CAN BE SOLVED. BUT BEFORE I…

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Not sure

Camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor replaced on a woman's Durango 01 4.7. Another brand of crankshaft sensor fits perfectly. This plug didn't fit and didn't let the pigtail click, so it won't start. In the second picture you can see two plastic pins on each side of the middle metal pin. The replacement part is made to be further apart than the original and the connector will not fit. I was in a bad situation and needed my truck to function so I turned them off. It's not easy to use a sharp…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Negative result present

It took 2 sensors to fix my problems

So I bought this sensor from Amazon for my 2007 Dodge Durango 5.7 Hemi. I had serious problems with the truck and had multiple codes. One code was P0340 for the camshaft position sensor so I bought it here a few weeks ago. Place it on a tag who in their right mind designed the location for it. But after installing this sensor I could not clear the code at all. I went to my local Dodge dealership this morning and bought an OEM sensor, replaced it tonight and the codes are gone. Engine runs…
