The flashlight seemed to fit very well, however it is very difficult to reattach the screws holding the flashlight. What seemed like a 15 minute job took almost an hour before I reinstalled all three screws.

Seems a bit cheap. It was difficult to tighten the screws as they didn't reach like OEM cases. Also broke during installation so I would only recommend it if you have a headache, swearing, or have a very big budget and don't mind making a few tweaks.

Fits perfectly on the trunk lid, went to tighten the mounting screws and removed the bracket from the headlight, had to redo a lot to keep it in place, the only reason for not returning it a wreck here the locals leave and climb into the trunk without a little rain, order factory light is more expensive, but it's worth it!

Light works, but installation is not possible without modifications. The lenses cracked trying to install them before the change. I finally installed it but my new light broke. It's burning now, which is safer, but the old original looked better. The kit included 2 (of 3) screws that were longer than the original screws which helped with the installation.

Very easy to install. It's very bright. The only downside is that there are no instructions on what and where the wires go and what the black piece on the back is for. Unless you're mechanically inclined (you may or may not know who you are) you might have some trouble removing and replacing this. Here are some basic instructions that will come in handy.

Please read the reviews. This product does not fit properly. When I managed to get the screws in and tightened them they popped out and broke the retaining clips on the light itself. The gasket seems to be the main flaw preventing it from seating properly and preventing the tabs from behind the sheet metal of the snap the rear cover into place. They sent mine back as defective.

I've seen a lot of feedback on both sides of the fence on this part so I want to share mine. Mine went in the New Beetle 2006. The hardest part was getting the old one out. It rotted dry and eventually fell into pieces. This replacement bulb fits perfectly, fits great, seals well, screw holes line up perfectly and works great. For me it was a great replacement. Sorry, some others thought otherwise. Great product here!

Light works when brake pedal is pressed but installation is not as expected. When looking for a part I entered my vehicle details as requested and was prompted "This part fits your vehicle." After grinding down the tabs on the bottom edge of the headlight housing and removing the bracket from the old headlight assembly, it finally went in and I was able to secure it. This should not be a procedure if I depend on a part designed specifically for my car. I can only imagine how much it would cost…

I bought this for a 2001 VW Beetle. Let me say the price is great BUT if they spent a few extra pennies and fixed the seal it would be a home run! The seal is the downfall of this item as it doesn't lay flat enough to fit properly, making it almost impossible to use factory screws to secure it. I was playing around with this for a WATCH.
