For me it was the perfect replacement.
I've seen a lot of feedback on both sides of the fence on this part so I want to share mine. Mine went in the New Beetle 2006. The hardest part was getting the old one out. It rotted dry and eventually fell into pieces. This replacement bulb fits perfectly, fits great, seals well, screw holes line up perfectly and works great. For me it was a great replacement. Sorry, some others thought otherwise. Great product here!
