Not long enough for universal joints and parts

Yes, you get everything you need, but the damn cable isn't long enough to hook onto the spring. So now I need to find a longer cable or spring.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Annoying

Worked perfectly. Make sure you use the parts provided

Works great. Make sure you use the parts provided, tried the old wheel (it was smaller so I figured that was what it was) and the legs didn't fold all the way in so I used the wheel that was provided and great!

  • Great product

Worked great on my 2012 Grand Caravan

Worked great on my 2012 Grand Caravan. Be sure to use any new equipment that comes with the cable and follow the instructions. Can be done alone but a second pair of hands definitely helps with attaching the spring and trying to keep the seat in the half retracted position.

Not for my Grand Caravan.

installs fine but the only parts I used were the cable and spring all other parts didn't fit. The pulley had a different diameter, the cable guide also a different size. After installation, the seat armrests were lowered, but not fully. Better than it was but not great. DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A 2005 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. Won't fit.

Pros
  • always liked
Cons
  • a lot

You'd think the manufacturer would NOT use plastic because the spring is a very strong metal that's tightly wound. But they did, and guess what happened? YUP, tiny piece BROKEN! My husband had to do this and now the lever only goes halfway down. NOT WORTH THE MONEY! I swear, why isn't AMERICA investing more in US made products?

Pros
  • Fingers crossed

Cable length specification may be too long

This was my second installation of a cable set and I know how to hook and/or unhook this cable with legs at a 20-45 degree angle to the spring Cables and still the Legs not flush with floorboard. The legs remain raised about 1-1/8" as shown in the photos. Until they test and fix the problem I do not recommend this item for the 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. Either the cable needs to be shortened or the instructions edited will, I recommend.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Not what was said in the ad.

Didn't work on my 2005 Town and Country. The cable was manufactured with the outer jacket installed backwards. The idler was too big to fit into the welded bracket in the van, the plastic rail was too thick to fit under the idler. Neither of these kits worked on my van. I called Dorman and they told me to bring it back to where I bought it, they don't help much. The seller gave me a full refund but would not return the parts. I spent hours playing with this part and ended up at Home Depot where
