Beautiful replacement

Delivered as promised. - This toggle switch and key set is chip fitted and will need to be programmed (if required) to your vehicle. - I hadn't programmed the key and it worked on my 2002 E-250. In general very satisfied.

Take your time and you can do it!

When the ignition cylinder on my Sport Trac started to stick I decided to replace it before it got any worse. I wouldn't say it was easy but if you take your time and follow the instructions you should be able to do it. It comes with the parts and instructions you need to replace the cylinder with your current key. It probably took about an hour from start to finish. Now my ignition switch works smoothly and I no longer worry about getting stuck somewhere.

Easy do-it-yourself assembly

After watching the installation video, installing and reconnecting the battery took a few minutes! The problem was with the anti-theft device... it wouldn't start! I had to call a locksmith to make a key with a chip and reprogram it to get the truck working again! I still saved money in the long run! I spoke to Dorman Technical Support and they were very informative and gave me a solution straight away. This is the second Dorman piece I've ordered from Revain! I am very comfortable!

Identical to the original part, includes everything you need to match your other locks.

This product is identical to the original ignition cylinder. Waffle cup packages even had Ford part numbers on them. It includes a set of replacement plates that need to be replaced to fit your old key or to adapt it to your other locks (door, trunk/tailgate, console, glove box). etc.) on the vehicle. It also includes spare springs and retaining balls in case they are lost. The included instructions are clear and concise. Replacing this cylinder took about 10 minutes with a small screwdriver…

Worked great. suitable for lock cylinder

Fits perfectly to my 2005 Ford Taurus. One of the glasses in my old cylinder fell into pieces. Dorman came with instructions and new glasses. Since my key has a chip, I had to rebuild a new Dorman cylinder to fit my old key. The jars are numbered in my old cylinder and the new dorman which is very helpful and I was able to read the number on the broken jar. When you remove the glasses from your old cylinder, write down the numbers in the order you removed them. I have used all the new glasses…
