Will not work with GM Saturn Passlock 2 system.

So Revain said it was a direct GM replacement for Lock 2 but the access lock system didn't recognize it after the reboot. The cylinder fits and works. Luckily the alarm I bought had a bypass module so it wasn't a big deal for me.

Ignition Key Issues Fixed

My wife has a 2002 Saturn and was having serious ignition key issues, trouble turning to start the car, or getting stuck and unable to exit after turning the car off . Installing a new ignition cylinder with two new keys took less than an hour and the problem was solved. If you're having trouble igniting your Saturn, it's definitely worth a try. For less than $50 you can't go wrong.

The original key did not turn in the ignition lock. You must turn the ignition to the assist position to remove the ignition lock cylinder. Look for "bumping" videos on YouTube. Using the factory car key and the handle of a screwdriver (use a large-handled screwdriver) to tap (hit) the back of the key as you turn the key, I was able to turn the key. It took repeated attempts, but it will work, be patient. You have to hit the back of the key instead of hitting it like a hammer when you turn the…
