💨 Dorman Air Suspension Compressor Line Repair Kit 949-006 for Cadillac / Chevrolet / GMC Models - Improve Air Suspension Performance Review

If you go to the trouble of replacing your air suspension compressor and/or shock absorber, you can install these new lines as well. The OEM lines run through the loom in the back of the truck, but no need to fiddle around trying to do the same. I had an optional black loom and just routed the air lines through the spare tire and to both shocks. I then attached the old air ducts as they would no longer need to be used.

I needed to change the air shock absorbers on my 2008 Suburban and one of the hoses got stuck in the old shock absorber. I ordered these hoping they would work based on some reviews and they definitely work. The two shorter hoses are slightly longer and you will need to use all three hoses with the supplied tee, but the extra hose just needs to be coiled up and attached to the air pump body. I saved a lot of dollars compared to buying a factory kit!

Lines, tees and bends have been sealed tightly. The shock mounts are properly aligned with the clips aligned with the pads on the shocks. I saw in other reviews that the line to the driver's side rear shock was too short. I used this kit on a 2004 GMC Yukon XL Denali and the lines were the correct length. I didn't run the lines in the original OEM plastic loom. I bought a new loom and routed the new channels over the OEM lines and tied them to the originally routed lines. This sealed the system

Not sure why Dorman says this is only for 2006 and earlier GM Trucks/SUVs. I just installed it on my 2007 Escalade EXT. Fits perfectly. The driver's side is a bit longer, but you can just reroute it or stuff the excess into the air compressor housing. It fits on the passenger side with no problems. I wanted this kit because both ends end the same as the factory OEM (mushroom). Repair kits in the regular auto shop have screw ends that need to be trimmed and pulled out, but these ends allow for better design of OEM fittings that cannot. However, the biggest issue before ordering was the fit/length.
