Plug swapped!

Installed in a 2004 Chevy Astro. All speeds worked, but little air came out of the deflectors. It turned out that the motor connector was wired incorrectly, causing the fan to run backwards. I had to cut the wires to fix it since the pins are inserted before the connector. Now it works fine.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Long delivery time

very dumb!? Best replacement parts

Is this an OEM replacement?! You have to replace the hole in the heater box with a dremel tool or file, which is very difficult as access is very limited! ... a simple 10-minute job becomes a 45-minute job. GM changed the OEM so you have to open an artboard to install it? Very dumb!?! but the part works, (4 stars) for that

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Quality

2003 Chevy Astro with rear barn doors.

This carriage fits to the tailgate by removing the supplied mounting bracket (4 bolts and nuts) and replacing it with the one riveted to the door. It's much easier to replace if you drill out the 2 aluminum rivets that hold the existing bracket to the door. I used the "plate nuts" that were on the new bracket to replace the rivets. You will need to provide your own metric screws to reattach the assembly to the door.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
