🔑 Dorman 99162 Keyless Entry Transmitter for Specific Vehicle Models (OE FIX) Review

Very easy to use My only complaint is that they limit the number of uses of the device itself. For me I feel like I paid for it so it should always work as they limit usage. I'm not sure but for me it's like my OBD code reader will only let me read trouble codes 3 times, I wouldn't want it as you can't predict when you will need it and although you won't need it , it's not often that they shouldn't have done it that way, but other than that it did the job and made it very easy.

I have a 2013 GMC Sierra and needed to make some keys. I also bought a $100 key maker off eBay and a $15 pair of blank GMC transponder keys. So I spent a total of $200 on this project. That's fine as I will be using the key maker to craft other keys to get my money's worth from this. Went to YouTube and followed the instructions to program the key and remote. Super easy to program. Would definitely recommend this Dorman remote, it is very similar to the original.

Good product - works like clockwork. The locksmith wanted $200 to program the remote for my 2011 Silverado - it was a much better deal. Very easy to use. Plug the key into the ODBC port under the steering wheel and follow a few steps with all the remotes you want to use on that vehicle to program them.
