As someone who is hesitant about purchasing automotive replacement parts, I was pleasantly surprised by the Dorman Help 13564 ball joint. as a result of using this product I found that my vehicle's steering and handling improved drastically. Based on my experience, this ball joint failed to last long and caused significant damage to my vehicle's transmission .The installation process was difficult and the instructions were not clear. However, the ball joint had a competitive price point compared to other brands..

My upper ball joints were fine but the dust covers were removed. I have a few of these. I separated them so I could put them on the ball joint without taking anything apart. I also trimmed them down a bit to get the right length and girth. After installation I wrapped them securely with 3M 33+ waterproof tape. It turned out okay; should last a long time - much better pay for new ball joints/work or do nothing to protect the ball joints from dirt, water etc.
