Flimsy Piece of Junk

The Dorman M630490 Brake Master Cylinder was a terrible purchase. Based on our own experience, the product arrived with a cheaply made plastic cap that broke during installation. The pros are almost nonexistent. Perhaps the only good thing we can say about this product is that it is affordable. However, the cons outweigh any advantages. The overall quality of the part is poor and we had to replace it with a better product. We do not recommend this brake master cylinder.

Pros
  • Dorman M630490 Brake Master Cylinder is made of high-quality materials, ensuring durability and longevity.
Cons
  • The brake master cylinder may fail prematurely, leading to potential brake failure and safety hazards.

An American made or risked those you love.

I'm not a mechanic. However, the real mechanic said that my master cylinder had failed while driving DOWN the mountain in the car with ALL 5 MEMBERS of my family while on vacation. I changed all 4 rotors and pads as well as the master cylinder. The rotors and pads were made in Detroit, USA! You didn't disappoint us. But the master cylinder. Take what you want from it.

Pros
  • Replacing the master cylinder is essential for the safe operation of the vehicle
Cons
  • Almost never

Worked great - came with the bleeding bench technique.

worked great on my Kia Sedona 2006.5. 252K .A) Raise vehicle, remove wheels1) Install ventilation stand MC2). Don't forget to reuse the existing gasket on the back of the old MC between the MC and the Powerbrake amp. Note: Apply a small amount of grease around each brake bleeder to prevent air from flowing through the threads. Note that this can be done with a homemade bottle 1/2 full with old brake fluid and 1/4 clear hose. best by using, opening and closing the system between pressure open…

Pros
  • 100% new, not refurbished
Cons
  • Frequency
