I bought this when my pup was only 3 lbs and it fits perfectly. She now weighs 8 pounds and seems very happy and comfortable in it. It's soft and roomy, and the shoulder strap is extra thick, making it comfortable to carry. She still has room to grow so I would say she should be able to handle a dog up to 12lbs.

My older cat likes it BUT the ring clasp is not secure at all. It will fall apart and your pet will fall out. As a result, we securely tied the tape. What good is an adjustable strap if it has to be tied? Should have just gotten the unregulated version. I gave it 2 stars because it's comfortable and true to size for my cat.
