Out of the box this appears to be a fantastic product. It's inexpensive, simple, compact and looks good. However, a standard 1/2 inch NPT fitting will countersink before it seals against the threads. I've tried half a dozen different fittings and couldn't get them to seal no matter how much caulk tape I used.

The valve itself is well made except the water inlet screws into the threads of the valve. We had to redo it 3 times because it just wouldn't stop leaking, we ended up using liquid piping to prevent the valves from leaking where the piping enters the valve.

Beautiful looks and great water pressure. The only complaint is that it doesn't sit in the mount like we'd like. It just spins and freezes. Perfect size for my freestanding bath. The holder is metal, not plastic. The stick can be plastic with a chrome liner without a plus. I don't think you will be disappointed if this is the style you are looking for.

I normally spend a fortune on showroom designer faucets for my kitchen/bathroom. This time I just needed a faucet for the outdoor poolside shower, so I decided to give it a try, not expecting much but hoping it would be good enough for the purpose. I was amazed when I opened it up and looked at it. The quality is always slightly better than anything inside. I am very happy with this purchase. Great design and consistently very good quality.

It was almost impossible to find a fitting that screwed in deep enough to prevent leakage. Yes I put in the silicone pads they sent you. I've been to our plumbing store 4 times with a valve and every time the pressure increased it leaked. I ended up cutting my own threads at the Rector Shark Bite Fitting and sealing them. Pooh! It's beautiful and looks simple, but if mine didn't cut when knocked, this product sucks!

Not sure what warm means in the review. In any case, the threads taper a little. To get a flush fit, unscrew some PVC adapters with large wrenches. Do it with a vise if you have one. Otherwise this thing will flow like crazy. Make sure it hits the ground. Basically after a few turns you have to touch your own threads. Operation is smooth and responsive after installation. Outstanding mixing process. This will give you the perfect shower temperature, just make sure these fittings are flush.

I bought it in December but installed it before last week. As other reviewers have pointed out, after initially installing just teflon tape and "normal" torque, it still has a leakage problem on all three ports. I wonder why the manufacturer hasn't fixed the issue after so many bad reviews? However, the leak can be fixed and I would like to share my case with other buyers and urge the manufacturer to do an RCCA to fix it from the ground up which will allow you to get 5 star ratings and increase
