It took a little fiddling, but it turned out to be better than anything else

I have kids who drawstrings into LOTS of clothing items - shorts, swim trunks, sweatshirts, sweatpants. I discovered the power of the bodkin, also known as the threading tool. I have several of these, both metal and plastic. I enjoyed altering sweatshirts and sweatpants. However, none of my tools worked with a pair of metal grommets (see photo).
