Works with Garmin Venu

It didn't take as long as I hoped. This one does the trick. I have a Garmin Venu that I record all my workouts on. He found each other quickly and stays in touch. When I start the exercise, it reconnects within seconds. I didn't notice any noticeable difference between this HRM and the one I've used before. It never falls out and it doesn't have the weird, huge wobbles that some straps do. It is also comfortable to wear. The strap doesn't twist like some do. I'm happy to give five stars for…

Better than the Garmin version

How can I apply? There are different reasons. This strap works well and appears to be fairly accurate. This puts it on par with the Garmin chest strap. If necessary, you can easily replace the battery. It's like everything you do is designed to be a reality. If you had a Garmin version you know why this is so important. Garmin battery swapping is frustrating and once you've done it, the battery doesn't seem to last long. Connecting to your Fenix watch is very simple. It took me less than a…

Good range, accurate reading, washable strap

Works well. Note that it won't pair until I have the correct app installed on my Android. I downloaded and installed the free Polar Beat app. After I installed it, it connected with no problems and went to work. It doesn't come with a battery, so setup requires installing the included battery, which takes just a few seconds and is easy, and downloading the relevant app. The strap is adjustable and fits very large breasts. It easily fits a 52 inch chest. When you wear it, it stays in place and…

I really like the precision of this chest strap.

I used it during my cardio workout and was amazed by its accuracy. I have a Fitbit Versa smartwatch and a Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. They're good, but they don't even come close to the Dream Sport heart rate chest strap in terms of heart rate accuracy. If you want the most accurate readings, use a chest strap. With a chest monitor, you won't experience the long lags or false readings that smartwatches can cause. Even the sensors on the machines struggle to measure my heart rate because my hands…

Excellent heart rate monitor with connection problem

I have used many heart rate monitors, so I have a lot of experience with them. My current bracelet was Wahoo which I love for the status indicators. No other strap I've used has status indicators, which can be very helpful when pairing. It is strapless. However, Wahoo tends to record incredibly high heart rate spikes. This strap doesn't have that problem, it seemed very accurate throughout my workout with no hiccups. It uses a 2032 battery which I am guessing most others use 2025 which doesn't…

The Peloton setup is a bit odd.

I just want to warn other Peloton users that the bluetooth setup is a bit strange. Basically, when you add a new device, it behaves as if it is not connected and reports a problem with the "pin". I seriously spent so much time messing with it and figuring out what was wrong that when I gave up I was only able to squeeze out a 10 minute lesson before my kids woke up. It wasn't until I attempted to connect my Apple Watch to my bike that the device showed up as available to connect. He actually…

Cons
  • Some bugs

So I picked this up to compare to my more expensive Peloton HR monitor. I would be open to using heart rate monitors like this for more of my workouts and runs, but I've only used them during a few peloton rotation sessions at the moment. I'll mention that I'm a guy with a pretty hairy chest, so I know it's not ideal for this type of device. But what I can say is that I've usually had success with my Peloton HR monitor on the side where I have more exposed skin. Sometimes it takes a bit of…
